Delivery and Installation Policy

Metal Garage Ltd
Effective Date: 3 June 2025

1. Estimated Delivery

We aim to deliver your metal building within 7 to 35 working days of order confirmation. This timeframe is an estimate and may vary due to production capacity, weather conditions, scheduling, or logistical constraints.

2. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen events beyond our control, including extreme weather, traffic disruptions, supply chain issues, mechanical failures, or strikes. These are considered Force Majeure events.

3. Delivery Terms & Off‑loading Requirements

  • Deliveries are made on a kerbside-only basis. A clear and accessible delivery area is your responsibility.
  • We typically use HIAB cranes or flatbed lorries, so adequate space is required for safe unloading.
  • Drivers are not insured or authorised to carry components beyond the kerbside. Many parts weigh up to 50 kg, so on-site assistance is necessary.
  • If delivery cannot be completed due to access issues or lack of help, items will be returned and additional charges for re-delivery may apply.

4. Inspection & Ownership Transfer

  • Delivery is deemed complete once items are unloaded at the designated site.
  • If you authorize unattended delivery, responsibility transfers at the time of drop-off.
  • Ownership and risk transfer to you upon delivery, regardless of whether you are present.
  • Please inspect all items immediately. Report any missing or damaged components within 48 hours of delivery, including supporting photos. After this period, goods are considered accepted.

5. Remote or Challenging Locations

  • Delivery to remote areas or sites with restricted access may require extra time or coordination.
  • If your location includes narrow roads, low bridges, weight restrictions, or limited vehicle access, please notify us in advance to avoid delays.

6. Foundation Preparation & Installation

  • Metal Garage Ltd supplies buildings only; installation is carried out by a trusted, experienced third-party contractor.
  • We offer nationwide installation and groundwork services across the UK, including major cities like London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff, Leeds, Edinburgh, and smaller towns such as Luton, Shrewsbury, Inverness, Barnsley, and Colwyn Bay.

⚠️ Important: The concrete base must be completed at least 5–7 days before garage installation to allow adequate curing. Installing on uncured concrete can compromise building stability.

What’s included in our recommended foundation and installation service:

  • Ground preparation (levelling, digging, compacting)
  • Formwork setup and concrete pouring
  • Concrete finishing and curing
  • Garage delivery and professional installation
  • Site clean-up and removal of forms the following day

We coordinate the full process for you, providing a seamless experience from foundation to final fix.

7. Coordination & Third‑Party Installation

  • If you prefer to use your own installer or groundwork contractor, we will supply the technical specifications required for your base and anchor points.
  • It’s your responsibility to ensure your contractor follows all guidelines to support the structural integrity of the garage.

8. Questions & Special Requests

If you have specific delivery constraints, require installation support, or need advice on site preparation, feel free to contact our team in advance. We’re here to help make your experience smooth and stress-free.

This policy ensures clarity around your responsibilities, timelines, and the services we can coordinate to help you receive and install your garage properly—anywhere in the UK.
