Anchoring Steel Structures to Concrete Substrates

Step-by-Step Guide

Drill Holes in the Angle Bracket
Drill holes with a 12mm diameter (½ inch) into the angle bracket that sits on the concrete base. Each hole should be at least 140mm (5½ inches) deep.

Insert Steel Expansion Anchors
Insert steel expansion anchors, each a minimum of 120mm (4¾ inches) in length, into the holes.

Adjust for Steel Profile Thickness
For structures using steel profiles (e.g., bin shelters), drill deeper holes to allow for the profile’s thickness.

Tighten the Nuts Securely
Using a spanner or tightening tool, fasten the nuts securely to ensure a firm and safe anchor.
